COMMISSIONED WORK:
The Three Marys at the Tomb on Easter morning greeted by the angel of God announcing, "Christ has risen".
The three women are described in Mark 16:1 as Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Mary Salome. The three came to the tomb at sunrise bringing perfumed oils to anoint Jesus.
