Christ Is Risen! Truly He Is Risen! Alleluia! Easter Morning, Christ is triumphant over the grave. Allelulia!

About the MANDORLA:
Christ overcoming death from a mandorla. Mandorla is the Italian word for almond. The mandorla shows that Jesus is outside time and space. The presence of the mandorla and the rays of light coming from Christ reveal Christ's divinity. It is beyond our comprehension.

The graphic below represents where the mandorla may get its meaning --- it is where heaven and earth meet.

NOTE: In religious art heaven is represented by blue and earth by the color red.

Listen on You Tube The Strife is Over, The Battle Done - Saint Peter's Catholic Church: Columbia, South Carolina

The strife is o'er, the battle done;
Now is the Victor's triumph won;
O let the song of praise be sung.
Alleluia!

Death's mightiest powers have done their worst,
And Jesus hath His foes dispersed;
Let shouts of praise and joy outburst.
Alleluia!

On the third morn He rose again
Glorious in majesty to reign;
O let us swell the joyful strain.
Alleluia!

He broke the age-bound chains of hell;
The bars from heaven's high portals fell;
Let hymns of praise His triumph tell.
Alleluia!

Lord, by the stripes which wounded Thee
From death's dread sting Thy servants free,
That we may live, and sing to Thee.
Alleluia!
